Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 7:30 AM - 9:15 AM (ET)
Presented by Nightwood Theatre and MaRS
How do we build an innovation economy that harnesses the full capacity and creative energy of women? Will a more inclusive framework emerge, or will we see the proliferation of new businesses as more women rise into leadership positions in the innovation economy? What is the contribution of women at the forefront of breakthrough discoveries, and building knowledge-based enterprises?
In this forum, we hear these trailblazers who have moved technologies and innovation strategies out of the idea stage and into actionable plans delivering timely results:
Lib Gibson (launched Sympatico, GlobeInvestor and Workopolis, former CEO of Bell Globemedia Interactive)
Kerri Golden (Entrepreneur and Investor)
Jo Coombe (VP, Strategic Accounts, Bullfrog Power)
Rona Maynard (Author, Speaker and former Editor of Chatelaine)
Megan Mitchell (former Director of Leadership Development and Innovation, Johnson & Johnson Inc.).
Moderated by Ilse Treurnicht (CEO, MaRS).
Breakfast is included.
